Love the bike, really a pleasure to ride, and handles most grades well. I don't use the battery much, because I like to pedal, and this bike, even with only 9 gears, is fun to ride and the gear ratios work well for most situations. When you need a little help, the battery is there. Have taken several rides, some over 20 miles, and never got close to depleting the battery. Highly recommended; not good for use with a trailer though, as the rear axle was too short to accommodate the adapter.
