The bike comes in a cardboard box, strapped to a pallet, and delivered by a big semi truck. Pretty easy to assemble. There are guides on youtube for putting together a mountain bike. The thing is, you need to go to your local bike shop and have them go over the whole thing. That's the smart thing to do. Otherwise, don't complain. Charge up the battery (Follow the directions enclosed). And you are ready to ride. Hey, this thing is fun to ride. Peddle a little to overcome inertia and twist the throttle. (You can do it in 7th gear.) You'll see how nice everything works right away. I installed a battery powered headlight because I have to ride home from work at night and I wanted to save battery power. It comes with a headlight already installed. I also installed a blinking taillight (You can buy the bracket to bolt it to the luggage rack at Amazon.) Accessories are up to the individual. A good electric bicycle runs from $3000 - $5000. So I was surprised by the quality and attention to detail. (Check out Regal Scooters.) If you need to ride in the pouring rain you are going to have to spend the big bucks and get a military model. The instructions say, "Don't get your electric bicycle wet." (Word to the wise.) Maybe it could be water-proofed with a little effort, but if you need to survive the elements you probably should get a regular mountain bike or a military version ($5000). I am very happy with this bike. When you consider a new battery could run you about $800 you will realize they are giving this thing away.
